Day 10: Journal 24/4/2014

Oh my gravy yesterday turned into a busy day.

I spent much of last night in the kitchen baking for the family. I made a bacon and egg quiche for the boys, crustless salmon and broccoli quiche for me, butternut and bacon soup, some jam tarts and a batch of scones. And that was before I made my tea. I didn't sit down till gone 8pm, and was more than ready for bed come 10pm.

After yesterday I'm back down to earth and buckling down for another week. And hoping that it will be a good number again.

One thing I have learnt this week, when you're in the office early (today I started at 8am), save your breakfast until later in the day. I was audibly hungry today by 11.15am. Not good when you're at work until 6pm. I do have an addiction problem though, I'm addicted to Wotsits and Cheesy Puffs - they are food from the gods, those and Pumpkin and Sunflower Seed Rolls from Co-op. I don't know whether to be sad or rejoice that they don't sell them in my home town's branch!

4pm - and I'm feeling low & hungry, so I've employed the help of a packet of maltesers. I wish there was something more substantial in the snack machine, but no this had to do - it was that or another packets of wotsits or a Snickers bar. If I eat any more cheesy snacks I'll turn tango orange!

7.30pm - I'm officially having a really hungry day. I've been feeling completely out of sync all day. It has been driving me crazy. For the love of me I can't figure out why, it surely shouldn't be just about eating my breakfast so early, could it?

At least I have a later start tomorrow, hopefully I can come out of the other side. Just in time for Takeaway Friday's tea! Not sure what it is going to be yet, but I'm sure it will be scrummy.
